The Psychophysical Therapists Guild of Australia is an Incorporated Association formed in 1987 by a group of professional therapists who were concerned about the standards of training and expertise in their profession. The main objectives are:
To advance the knowledge, science and practice of psychophysical therapy and to maintain the highest ethical standards in the use of psychophysical therapy; and
To stimulate public interest in psychophysical therapy and to assist members in keeping up to date with developments in psychophysical therapy.
The Guild holds regular meetings and guest speakers are invited to present papers and give demonstrations. The Guild provides constructive support and a referral system for members and the public. The Journal of the Psychophysical Therapists Guild of Australia Inc. is distributed free to all members and is available by subscription. All members are sworn to the "Healer's Oath" and are required to comply with the Guild's "Code of Ethics".
In dedication and memory to the Dean of The Academy of Human Sciences Dr James McGarry and the administrative support of Sivan Hayes.
